Expert Idiot is a site maintained by Paul Scrivens. I run 9rules, Chawlk and Quofda. with my partners Tyme White and Mike Rundle. Our group blog is 3by9 and Emersian is my site covering all that involves design.

I’ve been on the web for a while and have been through more sites and business ideas than I can remember. Expert Idiot is about sharing what I have learned both positive and negative. The site will feature guest articles from people that I respect and who’s opinion I value.

I’m not the perfect business man by any means, but I do my best to provide an analysis that doesn’t hold back and speaks the truth. If I am wrong I have no problem admitting to it because in our errors we find new wisdom.

I write here on Expert Idiot because the web would have you to believe that you can start a company over a weekend, sit back, maybe get a couple of links and sell big. It doesn’t even come close to working like that. I’ve had my ups and downs. I have been at the top of an industry only to lose it all in months. I have worked hard to get to the top only to relax and watch it all disappear. That is why Expert Idiot exists.
